Some users reporting slowdown between 1.2.8.1 and 1.2.9

I can't recreate this, might need to go to 10.6 to do so. Doesn't seem related to the change to the 10.7 SDK, and yet changes in 1.2.9.1 are not major, and speed is the same here.
