I keep SourceTree in my dock since I use it frequently. As I'm sure your developers are aware, the design language for Mac has changed with the release of macOS Big Sur last month.

The SourceTree app icon is not the correct shape to match the other icons now, which makes the app look bad and makes me unhappy.

Please consider updating the app with a new icon soon since Big Sur has been widely available for a while now.

Thank you Tobias for the new icon. I have swapped it on my machine.

Would be great to finally see an official update though.

Quite right, Apple has very clear design guidelines on the developer website.

"In macOS, app icons share a common set of visual attributes, including a rounded-rectangle shape, front-facing perspective, level position, and uniform drop shadow."

Apple even specifically states that developers should "avoid defining contours that suggest a shape other than a rounded rectangle".

Any updates on this? The design change is already more than two years old and SourceTree is still one of the last apps on my mac that has the old Icon style.

Ready to use designs are also available everywhere:

Application used to have a lot of updates and great fast Mac UI. Sad to see old icon for a year after Big Sur release.
