If I select a "pending file" path in Sourcetree and drag to an external editor to edit the file, I get an error "The file can't be found".  This used to work, and was very convenient to edit files with conflicts before doing a commit.

[SRCTREE-7183] Dragging pending file path to external editor fails

Fix for this issue is available in Sourcetree 4.2.2

It's been 2 years since this was open, it will take me less time to write a git app from scratch than it takes you guys to fix this.

            I miss this.

Workaround is to "Show in Finder" and drag folders that happens to be close... if you have a deep folder structure it creates lots of hassle.

Also, I did confirm SourceTree is granted full disk access under System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy

Same problem. This used to work before I moved to macOS Catalina 10.15.7

            Please increase severity and fix.

My Mac is running Catalina 10.15.2.  The external editor I'm dragging the path to is Sublime Text 3.2.2 but dragging to other editors, e.g. Webstorm, has the same problem.  If I drag the path to a Terminal window, the path is correct.  If I drag the path to the Terminal window, then drag that path string to the editor, it opens properly, but dragging directly to the editor produces the error.
