Description
After upgrading to 4.0 (232) everything was very sluggish — repository windows were slow to open and practically any interaction with the UI caused a beachball of several seconds, even just typing in the commit message box. The issue made the app unusable.
Relaunching provided no improvement, so I reverted to version 4.0 (229) and the problem went away. It's surprising that a version bump this minor should cause such a dramatic performance hit. I suspect something is now running on the UI thread that used to run in worker thread.
Repro steps:
On MacOS Mojave (10.14.6), upgrade from Sourcetree 4.0 (229) to 4.0 (232) and relaunch. Observe unresponsiveness affecting all aspects of the UI.
