Launching external diff (and Merge too) doesn't work

      git installed via homebrew

      Doesn't matter which external diff program I select. None of them are invoked.

    Description

      Despite external diff config with Araxis Merge working previously, one day it just stopped working. There are probably a billion of ways for this to happen since I'm a developer and install, uninstall, and upgrade programs all the time.
