See image of hung sourcetree app, showing "Refreshing Remote Repositories Failed" dialog. Dialog is uncloseable.
- Cancel button - clicks but does nothing
- Sign In button - clicks but does nothing
- Error Contents drop-down arrow - clicks but does nothing, no error contents
Expect "Cancel" button to close dialog.
Expect to be able to easily refresh password for
Repro
Noticed I was having issues with "HTTP BASIC" auth login to one repo - surprised it was using HTTP BASIC ... tried investigating because I could not Push. some errors during Push:
- So I was GUESSING that my login to this repo, a hosted GitLab instance, became stale.
- I attempt to find my way through the UI to one of the places I can go to input a personal-access-code I just generated
- I open the little World icon next to one of the places I can use to input the repository address and the "Repositories on all of your hosted accounts" dialog appears.
- I attempt to type in to the Search box, and the characters are DELETED everytime SourceTree downloads another page of repositories. NOTE my employer has A LOT OF repositories, and this dialog is broken, it resets the Search field, and seemingly never finishes fetching the repos.
- I eventually see an error dialog ... after some amount of time ... see the screenshot for the error dialog
- No combination of ESC key, Close button, Sign In button have any effect on flowing through the app to sign into the one host which seems to have gone stale
Resetting my app settings by browsing through my Filesystem using Terminal is an option but undesirable. Ideally the app would not need this kind of by-hand maintenance. I do understand MacOS is annoying at times.
