Branch checkout from BitBucket web page not transferring to Sourcetree

    • Reproducible on OSX 10.13 and 10.14 with Safari 12 or Chrome 70. 

    • Severity 2 - Major

      When accessing a branch in Bitbucket there is a Checkout button which pops a fake modal dialog. Among other things it has a button that says "Check out in Sourcetree". Hitting that button causes the browser to get approval for the page to open SourceTree. Hitting Allow then switches to SourceTree and SourceTree prompts for where to save the branch on the local machine.

      After upgrading to 3.0 this all works except the last step. Sourcetree is launched or switched to by the browser but then nothing happens. Switching back to the previous Sourcetree version remedies the issue.

      There are other ways to check out a branch but this was handy/convenient when it worked.

            Just updated to 3.0.1 but no change in behavior. Bitbucket web page launches SourceTree but then nothing happens.
