When on Bitbucket, I create a new branch and use the 'Check out in source tree' feature but on the 'Checkout Existing' popup that comes up, the remote branch field shows that i'm checking out only for a couple seconds at most before suddenly changing to 'default'. 

If I don't press the 'Checkout' button almost instantly on this popup before it switches to default, I get an error that 'default' is not a valid commit and I have to restart the process, which is nearly every single time on the first attempt of when I check out a new branch from Bitbucket.

I tore through all of the settings multiple times and found nothing that seems to affect this, and searched online a few times with a few different phrases of the issue and it seems no one else has this issue.

I provided two screen caps of it normally (i had to take it fast so it wasn't as clean), and then one it after it switches.
