Login error on remote repo refresh

    • Environment:
      • SourceTree (Mac) v2.7.1 (159)
      • Bitbucket Server 5.5.1
    • Severity 3 - Minor

One of our Mac users uses SourceTree to connect to our Bitbucket Server instance. The connection is configured to use SSH. After recently changing they're network password, attempts to browse/refresh remote repos now generate the following error:

      Login Error
Login failed for your Bitbucket Server account.
The remote service said: 'The operation couldn't be completed. (SDNetDomain error 7.)'

This sounds similar to SRCTREE-4021, though it wasn't clear if that issue was for a connection to Bitbucket Server or Cloud. We've tried the suggested workarounds (removing/re-adding the account, removing the Application Support folder) but the issue persists.

We're confused as to why it's even prompting for a password when the account/connection is configured to use SSH.

For now, the workaround is to browse the remote repos using the Bitbucket UI via a browser.
