There are 2 issues in this bug:

In the SourceTree(Mac) version for Git mentioned below 2.6.3 (134)

1. Even after discarding a file or pushing to remote, the count of files is not updated on the SourceTree landing screen where all repositories are listed. This is very misleading and needs attention. The user has to manually do the "Refresh Remote Status" repeatedly to update the correct count.
2. After switching a branch, the new branch does not appear on the SourceTree landing screen. The only way to get it displayed is via killing the app i.e. Cmd+Q and then relaunch SourceTree

Please fix these as they are very misleading for the developer and cause a lot of confusion.
