      Mac OS X 10.12.4
      Sourcetree v2.5(001)

    • Severity 3 - Minor

I used to be able to use Sourcetree to create new repositories where the Name field contained spaces and caps like "My New Repository 1".  This would create a new repository that would show up in my Bitbucket profile with a pretty name "My New Repository 1" but the slug would automatically be "my-new-repository-1."

Now when I try to create new repositories like this, I get one of two error messages. If the name of the new repository contains spaces "My New Repository" I get this error: `The operation couldn’t be completed. (com.google.GTMSessionFetcher error -1.)`

If the name of the new repository does not contain spaces but does contain a number like "MyRepository2", I get this error: `message: Invalid slug. Slugs must be lowercase, alphanumerical, and may also contain underscores, dashes, or dots.`

Apparently Sourcetree's autoupdater was broken so I only recently upgraded from 2.0.5.2b0 to 2.5 so I can't say when this bug appeared. I'm connected with Bitbucket over ssh, not sure if that matters. I can replicate this behavior on a different Mac with an unrelated Bitbucket account connected in the same way.
