It might happen - either by dragging the split view, or by other magical things - that the commit description pane is hidden, and cannot be shown again ever.

      One possible repro:

      1. Resize the commit description splitter as low as possible
      2. Pull up the command history

=> See attachment for video of bug. Seems like the splitview ignores the minimum height when pulling up the command history.

A workaround is to execute the following in terminal defaults delete com.torusknot.SourceTreeNotMAS "NSSplitView Subview Frames repowindow_LogViewDescSplitter"

I'm using 2.4.1 for Mac - problem is still present.  I'm using external monitors.

Checking SRCTREE-4055 the fix is in version 2.5, which wasn't available when I checked for updates just now, and https://www.sourcetreeapp.com is offering 2.4.1a.

Hi, it would be great to know, in which version of source tree this is fixed.

There is a thread on this on Atlassian Answers: https://answers.atlassian.com/questions/15282793/sourcetree-how-to-show-commit-information-panel

I can reproduce this in 2.4 by using SourceTree on one of two external monitors. When I unplug those monitors and use SourceTree on my laptop's monitor, the commit details window can disappear, and then I have to go follow one of the solutions in the linked thread to fix it. Very annoying.
