When the app is in full-screen mode, and a commit is being prepared, pressing the Escape key does not abort the commit editing session but rather instead moves the app out of full-screen mode.
(Compare with the correct behaviour when a commit is being made in regular windowed mode.)
STR:
- Put app into full-screen (ctrl-cmd-F)
- Begin a commit (cmd-shift-C)
- Press Esc.
Expected: commit is aborted.
Actual: app reconfigures itself to a non-full-screen window; commit continues.
Design note:
At present, when in full-screen mode but not making a commit, pressing Esc will also bring the app out of full-screen. My preference would be for this never to occur; pressing the full-screen shortcut (ctrl-cmd-F) a second time already affords this behaviour.
The current design overloads the Esc key context-dependently, for arguably little gain.
