Running SourceTree for Mac on OS X 10.11.5

Have repository on github with git lfs support enabled

One or more files are edited and 'unstaged'

    • Severity 2 - Major

Since enabling (or shortly after?) GIT large file support on my repository, now SourceTree runs extremely slow when staging files. If I click the checkbox next to a file, it'll take maybe 15 seconds to stage a file. Doesn't matter if I check one file or all... takes about the same time. Unstaging files does not have this problem. Also I can stage/unstage individual hunks and it is fast.

If I look at the Activity Monitor while this is happening, it shows git-lfs process running.

Also, if I stage the file from the git command line then it happens immediately.
