Although I'm using mouse/touchpad very frequently, sometimes (or especially?) on initial repository setups I am noticing every time this little glitch.

In the Git's advanced repository settings, the "tab" is not working from "name" into "email". Just think about the not uncommon use case of typing the user name and then typing the email address.
