One of my biggest complaints with the 2.2 update is the change to the status icons. In particular, the icons for Modified and Unknown are too close in color. Also, an increased use of letters as opposed to symbols is English-centric and not localization-friendly.
I strongly prefer icons that are more visual, that I can easily disambiguate based on shape and color, rather than having to read a letter to understand the meaning.
In my own app, I've replaced the new icons with icons cribbed from Versions.app, see attached ZIP. Please fix these icons, they're what most users with deal with most frequently, and they need to be as clear as possible.
