It would be really convenient to be able to set an option to automatically stash any working copy changes before switching branches or, for that matter, doing any other operation that currently prompts the user to stash their changes before continuing.

E.g. IntelliJ IDEA has this option and branching or pulling changes is really hassle free. Attached screenshot of dialog from IDEA.
