    • Severity 3 - Minor

      Replication:

      1. Create Git repo
      2. Add a file
      3. Add a symlink to the file
      4. Replace symlink with a regular file

      Expected:

      • SourceTree shows file as changed

      Actual

      • SourceTree does not show any changes for the file-that-used-to-be-a-symlink
      • Command line `git status` shows it as `typechange: path/to/file`

[SRCTREE-3281] SourceTree does not show "typechange" git changes

Fix available in version 4.2.6. Kindly upgrade to latest version.

            Version 4.2.4 - still happening.
This issue can lead to substantial time waste for those who run into it (many hours in my case).
Also, it undermines trust in the tool in general, as now you can never be sure what else SourceTree has arbitrarily decided not to show.
