When using a screen in portrait mode the available space isn't used very well (i.e. lots of blank space in the sidebar and staging lists). A view option to split the view horizontally instead of vertically would be welcome. E.g. in the "file status" view: staging and sidebar on top, and changes on the bottom.

The "log" view is pretty good but could still benefit from cutting off all the blank space at the bottom of the sidebar.
