The gitk program that ships with Brew's git (it's a tcl/tk app) has the very pleasing effect of color coding the two "Parent" sha hyperlinks so one can tell which is which. A picture, 1000 words, etc.

Now their version actually just uses red and blue, all the time, but it would be so very helpful to have the hyperlink color correspond to the color of the incoming branch line. The labels are correctly color coded, so I'm hoping this request won't be intractable.
