When configuring a custom external diff tool the path for the local file is relative to the working directory in contrast to the remote path which is absolute (somewhere located under /var/folders).

Some tools (like DeltaWalker) do not support opening files relative do their working directory so assigning an absolute path could fix problems when using these.
