In the inline diff view one should be able to show the whitespace characters. That way one would see if a tab got replaced by spaces. One could also review if the correct whitespace characters were used.

Additionally would it be nice if one can select the color of the whitespace characters. I personally prefer it, when they're fading into the background, so that they're not disturb reading the code.
