            Excellent Thanks Steve!

            This is fixed for the next update; I've no idea why this only affects machines with a primary non-Retina display but I guess we all learned something today
            [Edit]oh, @Wojtek saw it with a Retina machine too, how odd. Either way this should be fixed.

            I'm having same issue, 13" MBP with retina display.

            OK, I can reproduce this on a machine with a non-Retina primary display (24" iMac). I'm not sure why it happens yet but am on it.

            Thanks, I still haven't managed to make it happen here yet but will keep trying and will borrow a non-Retina iMac - my non-Retina test is a secondary monitor on a Retina MBP and that works OK.

            Yeah, there's plenty of space below - they all just open upwards.

            The Mac spec is;

            21.5-inch (1920 x 1080), Mid 2011 OS X 10.9.2 (13C64)
            AMD Radeon HD 6750M 512 MB

            I believe it's non-retina.

            I am seeing the same issue on a iMac running OS X 10.9.2

            Can you clarify what machine you're running on, retina or non-retina and how much space there is for the popup where it's opening? It should pop downwards if there's not enough space anyhow but just to get an idea of how to reproduce this.
