I wish there was a preference that would allow one to set the default flag to be used for things like spelling auto-correct, and etc. in the commit message field. There have been so many times that I've committed a change with some domain specific term that has been auto-corrected to an English word that it is starting to be annoying. For example, docset is corrected to docket, venv to vent, etc. I realize that this is a builtin feature of the native text widget, but it does have the ability to turn them on or off.
