It seems that if automatic refresh of a repo remotes is enabled, that all submodules are refreshed as well. When working with a lot of submodules, this severely hampers performance.

This delay is most noticable when switching back to SourceTree after (the default) 10 minutes when an auto refresh is happening. The entire UI unresponsive for ~10 seconds. Having this be optional would greatly improve usability.

I'm working with about 20 submodules, all hosted remotely.
