"Closing" (minimising) file list is confusing for users

A few users have been confused when they 'close' the file list in the log view and wonder why their diff doesn't show all the files for that log entry. Need to find a better way to show it's been completely minimised.

See attached screenshot to see what happens. It's very difficult to tell it has been resized so you're unable to see it.
