need visual indication of background fetch

I work with some glacial repos (over a slow link from US to Japan).

When the Check default blah blah background "git fetch" is happening, a lock may appear in a repo I'm trying to also look at. If I manually click Fetch in that repo, I may get a complaint about the lock file. (This is really a bug of it's own.)

I'd really like for the Bookmarks window to have a indefinite progress indicator (spinning arrows?) appear in each entry as it's being updated, perhaps a bit like how CodeWarrior used to show each file in a project being compiled.
