      Instead of ordering tags default by their alphabetical name, instead have the preference to order them by their version. In Git's case this would have to be a commit date order, and in Mercurial we could use the revision number.

            Since Git 2.1 (see https://www.infoq.com/news/2014/08/git21-release-whats-new/), Git supports a tag.sort configuration. Sourcetree ignores this option, see bug SRCTREE-8171.

            To be clear, descending so most recent on top.

            Might be nice to have a few options though, asc/desc of "tagged date", alpha and semver
