The source editor does not store the start attribute in an ordered list. The start attribute is perfectly valid HTML markup. It also seems to be the only possible way to continue a numbered list since CONF-1208 was closed as "Won't fix".

This is definitely a missing feature which would be very useful, especially if working with the excerpt plugin.

Right now, we have the following use case:

A numbered list has 7 main points, but I only want to include the first 5 points into other pages, so I create an excerpt which contains the first 5 points of the list. However, after the excerpt, the remaining 2 points restart at 1 instead of 6, even if I specify "start="6" for the <ol> in the source editor.

            Please fix this!

Though previously deprecated, START is a supported attribute of the OL tag in HTML 5: https://www.w3.org/TR/html-markup/ol.html. The START attribute is the only clean, non-CSS method for managing numbering of an OL. Please support this standard HTML 5 attribute.
