Provide an option to enable SAML assertion validation from SAML Response

            [SAMLDC-40] Assertion encryption

Would be nice to get this working so we can use DUO SSO with Data Center.

We were surprised to to hear this functionality was missing from the Bitbucket Data Centre variant, especially given the recent/ongoing price increases of DC products. Our CSO colleagues mandate this encryption for us to enable SSO, so it feels like we're expected to pay 'twice over' if we follow Atlassian's recommendation to look at 3rd party plugin for this missing feature.

Hi, what's the update here?  This is a key requirement to proceed with SAML 2.0 enablement

Please note, that our organization also uses Stash Datacenter and HipChat datacenter. It looks like encryption of assertion is available in HipChat ... If that is so, and it is the same SSO 2.0 implementation across all products, please make it available in Stash + Confluence. We are heavy users of all 3 products.
