Currently, Atlassian provides an MCP (Model Context Protocol) integration that allows AI assistants and tools to interact with Atlassian products such as Jira and Confluence. However, Bitbucket is not yet included as part of this MCP integration.

For teams that rely heavily on Bitbucket for source control, this creates a gap in the development workflow.
Without Bitbucket support in Atlassian MCP, AI tools cannot access repository information, pull requests, commits, or branch data in the same unified way they can access Jira or Confluence data.

Add Bitbucket support to the Atlassian MCP integration, allowing MCP clients to:

      • Access repositories
      • Read commits and branches
      • View and manage pull requests
      • Retrieve repository metadata
      • Link repository activity with Jira issues

      Value

This enhancement would enable a more complete AI-assisted development workflow across the Atlassian ecosystem.
