I wish Trello (on Desktop) can notify you when your description box is running out of characters as you type. The blue edges of the description box could perhaps turn yellow when you're low on character space, then flash red the moment you exceed. Or a text warning at the bottom left where the "uploading" indicators appear. This would be better than typing, and hitting CTRL+Enter just to discover that you've been out of space for a while only after you've scrolled to the bottom to read the bright red notice of how many characters you've exceeded.
