Problem Definition

In the documentation listed here, site administrators are instructed to disable the "Confluence Like Plugin" in order to disallow likes on pages and posts. In Confluence Cloud, site administrators do not have the ability to disable system plugins.

Moreover, the documentation mentions that users should be able to disable email notifications for likes. The option does not exist when users go to <NAME.atlassian.net>/wiki/users/editmyemailsettings.action.

Suggested Solution

Provide a way to disable likes in Confluence General Configuration, so administrators can disable likes without disabling the system plugin.

Add the ability to disable "likes" notifications in the Email Notifications page:{{ <NAME.atlassian.net>/wiki/users/editmyemailsettings.action}}

Workaround

Currently there are no workarounds.
