Issue Summary
Using https://developer.atlassian.com/platform/marketplace/license-api-for-cloud-apps/#get-addons-addonkey-confluence for connect on forge apps is returning incorrect app version.
Steps to Reproduce
- Have a connect on forge app.
- Use GET /wiki/rest/atlassian-connect/1/addons/
{appKey}
to get the app version
Expected Results
Getting the current app version
Actual Results
We get an older app version
Workaround

[MP-191] Connect Licensing API - does not have awareness of Forge version and will continue to return the previous Connect version
It should be noted that for Connect apps registered on Forge, minor version updates should roll out within a few minutes automatically and cannot be manually triggered by the user, so it's inadvisable to prompt the user to update (one potential use of this feature) if the REST API reports the same major version.
Is the delay noticeably different compared to Connect apps that aren't registered on Forge?
Is it a problem for major version differences or only minor version differences?
My apologies - after re-reading the help ticket that led to this public bug I see the minor delay is the problem being reported.
Hello and thanks for your patience. My colleague and I investigated, testing with this demo app, and as far as we can tell this should no longer be an issue as of the release of https://developer.atlassian.com/platform/forge/changelog/#CHANGE-1256 - the version reported in the response appears to now be updating, albeit with a small delay due to caching. Please let us know if you continue to see issues.
If you're observing minor version updates taking much longer than that, please do let us know.
