      Issue Summary

Short URLs or (Share URLs) point to previous site after Cloud migration

      Steps to Reproduce

      • On the source instance, go to any page and click on Share
      • Copy the link
      • Edit a page and save the URL in the text
      • Migrate to another Cloud instance

      Expected Results

      • URLs are updated to point to the page on the destination site

      Actual Results

      • URLs are unique to the page

      Workaround

To resolve this manually, you can:

      • Go to the same page on the new site
      • Get the Share URL
      • Edit the page with the old URL
      • Replace the URL with the new one

      Notes

Share URL does not seem to be based on the Content ID of a page, and always redirects to the previous instance even if the domain in the URL is replaced. So this fix is different than the Tiny URL fix which we do have a bulk workaround for.

The share URL is generated by sending a POST request to this endpoint:

      This returns something like this:

      • {"shortUrl":"https://site.atlassian.net/l/c/iKC9ewU9","fullUrl":"https://site.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/MIG/pages/1099719725/Page+Title?atlOrigin=MxYjAyYmMxNzkiLCJwIjoiYyJ9","linkId":"iKC9ewU9"}

And the URL changes on each new share.
