      Problem Definition

Most of the partners or customers refer to the knowledge article What gets migrated with the Jira Cloud Migration Assistant to plan the migration.

Currently, there is no information to notify customer/partner not to make any changes on the project configuration or custom fields during the migration process similar to the following stated in the knowledge article Jira Cloud Migration Assistant Duplicates and Drift

Do note that JCMA will still fail even if the changed items are done on both the Cloud and Server side at the same time since the mapping id's in the backend will be different.

      Suggested Solution

Please add the following lines to the knowledge article What gets migrated with the Jira Cloud Migration Assistant along with the reference link Jira Cloud Migration Assistant Duplicates and Drift

Do note that JCMA will still fail even if the changed items are done on both the Cloud and Server side at the same time since the mapping id's in the backend will be different.
