Issue Summary
Portfolio Insights is generating guardrail limit errors for customers with Assets custom fields containing between 21 and 200 objects. This is a false positive — the limit was raised to 200 objects per field as of July 27, 2026, but the guardrail threshold has not been updated accordingly.
Steps to Reproduce
- Set up a Jira instance with an Assets custom field containing more than 20 and up to 200 linked objects
- Run Portfolio Insights against the instance
- Observe a guardrail error flagging the field as exceeding the limit
Expected Results
No guardrail error should be triggered for Assets custom fields with 200 or fewer objects per field.
Actual Results
Customers are seeing erroneous guardrail errors and being incorrectly flagged as exceeding the Assets custom field limit when they are actually within the current supported threshold. This creates unnecessary escalations and undermines customer trust.
Workaround
Since the new 200-object cap went live on July 27, 2026, no configuration is required — all existing fields auto-scale automatically. In other words, the 200-object limit is the live, any Portfolio Insights guardrail errors triggered for fields with 21–200 objects are false positives and can be safely disregarded until the tooling is updated
