Issue Summary
The Jira Cloud Migration Assistant (JCMA) and Confluence Cloud Migration Assistant (CCMA) display a warning banner to end customers when an app is classified as Stage 1, indicating a low or unknown migration success rate. However, neither the vendor nor the customer has access to the actual numeric success rate data. Vendors with a measurable success rate (for example, approximately 95% over 75 migrations) have no way to communicate that figure to customers, and customers have no way to verify the accuracy of the warning. The only signal available is a binary stage classification, which creates an unfair impression for apps that are performing well but have not yet reached Stage 2.
Steps to Reproduce
- Have a Marketplace app with an active migration path registered in JCMA or CCMA.
- Have a migration success rate that keeps the app at Stage 1 (for example, an app-only failure rate above the Stage 2 threshold).
- Ask a customer to initiate a migration that includes the app.
- Observe that the customer sees a "low or unknown success rate" warning with no numeric context.
- Attempt to find a way, as a vendor, to share actual success rate data with the customer. No mechanism exists.
Expected Results
Vendors should be able to view their app's numeric success rate data (or at minimum success and failure counts) through the Developer Console or a dedicated vendor portal. Customers should see a more informative message in the CMA, such as the actual success rate percentage and the number of migrations it is based on, rather than only a binary stage label.
Actual Results
The Cloud Migration Assistant displays only a generic "low or unknown migration success rate" banner. No numeric data is shown to the customer. Vendors can only obtain this data by contacting Ecosystem Support directly. There is no self-service mechanism.
Workaround
Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available.
