Issue Summary
The weblinks in Jira tickets are not getting updated using our “update product link feature” from UI.
Any Jira or Confluence link that doesn’t have an app link defined in the global Id column is ignored. It is added in a Jira issue as a web link.
When we try to update the weblinks using the internal doc Legacy link fix it does not create the update statements to fix these links
We created a mapping.csv for Confluence links and these web links were included along with their equivalent updated links but the script does not pick them
Steps to Reproduce
- create multiple links as web links to confluence or Jira using any of the link formats documented here - https://hello.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/MigPT/pages/2465902566/Supported+products+and+types+of+links#Types-of-links
- Perform a Jira/Confluence Cloud migration.
- Try to fix links from the Product Links screen
- These won’t get updated in the remote link table they still point to the server URL
Expected Results
The product link update screen should consider these weblinks and fix them as a part of the product link update.
Actual Results
Inside a Jira issue, the web links are not updated in the remote link table and they still point to the server URL.
Workaround
Currently, there is no known workaround for this behaviour. A workaround will be added here when available
