      Problem:

Currently, the Jira Migration Assistant doesn't support the migration of dashboards, as per What gets migrated with the Jira Cloud Migration Assistant.

      Suggestions:

It would be great if the Jira Migration Assistant could migrate the dashboards as well from Server to cloud. .

            Hello there 103579c89d5e,
while I do see advantages of migrating dashboards to selected projects only I think that the support of 3rd party dashboard gadgets would have more impact and benefits. Can you tell us why you chose to work on that topic later and not in parallel? As Atlassian partner we have to understand your reasoning behind the decision and we have to tell the customer why this function is still not supported after years of developing JCMA.

            Best regards,
            Patrice

            Hi 103579c89d5e ,

of course, it is sensational that Atlassian has managed to realize the automatic migration of dashboards with the native dashboard gadgets three months after the server products were discontinued.

            Huge applause for that.

What exactly does the support of third-party gadgets for migration mean for the future? Does the future mean that the functionality will come in the next six months, in the next 2 or 5 years?
As a vendor, it would be great to get some solid and reliable information here finally.

            Cheers
            Frank

            Hi 103579c89d5e,

do you have an estimate when support for 3rd party gadgets will be available for example with a feature flag?
I have a customer instance which uses Rich filters plugin and their gadgets are heavily used on customer's dashboards. As a result we or the end users respectively would have to manually configure all affected gadgets. I'm sure there are many more customer instances which use 3rd party plugin gadgets that would welcome this support.

There are a few native Jira gadgets that are not supported by the migration but are supported in both self-hosted and Cloud. Is there a plan to support those in the migration tool? Specifically

            Bubble Chart

            Jira Issues Calendar

I see this feature in JCMA 1.11.5 which was released on June 3, 2024.

I upgraded the app yesterday, but did not see the option. Today, oddly, the option has appeared. I don't know why it was not available yesterday, but is available today, when I have not changed the JCMA version.

My question is, if you are migrating data in batches should the "All dashboards" option be selected for only one of those batches?
