Description
Issue Summary
The plugin Analytics Client Plugin can be somehow disabled by the system, probably during the upgrade of other plugins. Since Jira Cloud Migration Assistant requires it, a blank screen without any details is shown when it's not enabled.
When checking the logs, the following trace is displayed:
ERROR ServiceRunner [c.a.scheduler.core.JobLauncher] Scheduled job with ID 'jira-migration-analytics-events-dispatcher-job-id' failed
org.eclipse.gemini.blueprint.service.ServiceUnavailableException: service matching filter=[(objectClass=com.atlassian.analytics.api.services.AnalyticsConfigService)] unavailable
Resolution:
If Analytics Client Plugin services is disabled, you can just enable it by following the steps below:
- Go to your Manage apps page
- Change the filter to show all apps
- Find the Analytics Client Plugin plugin
- Expand it and make sure it's enabled
- Restart Jira
Suggestion:
It would be great to have an alert integrated into the Jira Migration Assistant to guide users. This alert would inform them that the "Migrate to Cloud" feature requires the Analytics Client Plugin to be enabled. This way, if the plugin is not installed and enabled, users would be informed rather than facing a blank page, improving their overall experience.
