Issue Summary
Currently, in the Cloud Migration Assistant tooling, you select which spaces to migrate in one of a few ways:
- Click an individual Space/Project,
- Select All on a single page of 10 Spaces/Projects (series of 10 selections),
- Search for a specific Space/Project, then Click the checkbox
This requires manual effort to search through all spaces to select a large range in a migration plan in the Confluence/Jira Cloud Migration Assistant.
In larger/complex migrations, it would be beneficial to export a list of Spaces/Projects (their keys or other identifiers) and allow users to import a CSV/text file (or in-tool GUI) that then selects a large range of Spaces/Projects into their migration plans, rather than checkbox dialogue.
Suggestions
- Allow the Confluence/Jira Cloud Migration Assistant to export/provide a list of all Spaces in the Confluence on-premise Site,
- Require the user to edit this list (CSV, textlist, GUI) in an easy fashion that takes into account large amounts of spaces.
- Allow the import of this list (CSV, textlist, GUI) into a Confluence/Jira Cloud Migration Assistant Migration Plan Wizard during the step of selecting what spaces you plan to migrate, allowing multiple Spaces to be selected at once.
Expected Results
A wide scope of Spaces/Projects can be selected and edited outside of a checkbox dialog, allowing faster setups of phased/partial migrations in medium/large migrations.
Workaround
Currently, there is no known workaround for this behaviour. A workaround will be added here when available.
