      Summary

When customers with a large user base want to migrate a subset of their projects to the cloud using the JCMA, the user pre-checks can be quite expensive even though they have the proper resources allocated (# of processors, heap memory, GC algorithm, etc).

Currently, the JCMA provides only two main options to migrate users:

      1. All users
      2. Users related to the selected projects

      Proposed Suggestion

We'd like to see an option where the customer can include the users based on group selection. This would help customers to perform the test and prod migration when, for example:

      • They have a user base of 10k users
      • They only want to migrate a specific set of users based on business units (a couple of thousand users)

Even though only a small portion of the users need to be migrated, the JCMA still has to go through all the users to evaluate which ones are in scope for the migration.

Providing a way to select the users based on group selection could speed up the process considering that the JCMA would only care about the ones listed on the groups and the ones that don't belong to the list could be ignored (former user).
