On Windows 11, when HDR is enabled at the OS/display level, Loom desktop recordings that capture screen + camera appear noticeably washed out / “bleached” and overexposed. Disabling HDR at the Windows level immediately restores normal recording quality.
Some customer's need to keep HDR enabled for an HDR-capable workflow but must currently turn HDR off to get acceptable Loom recording quality.
Loom correctly handles Windows 11 HDR output (or clearly guides the user) so recordings do not appear more washed out/overexposed than the on-screen image while recording.
Improve Loom’s behavior with Windows 11 HDR (capture pipeline and/or user guidance), and consider documenting how HDR is handled in Loom’s Windows/HD recording documentation.
