Improve Admin Tools → Manage → Videos search to discover and manage videos owned by deactivated users.

XMLWordPrintable

At this moment, the Admin Tools → Manage → Videos search only surfaces content owned by active users. As a result, workspace admins cannot easily find or manage videos that belong to deactivated members, even though those videos still exist in the workspace unless the user is permanently deleted.

This creates several pain points for admins, especially in Enterprise environments:

      • They can’t quickly locate, review, or reassign important videos created by former employees.
      • They must use awkward workarounds like temporarily reactivating users or fully deleting and transferring their account in order to regain access to content.
      • There’s higher risk of knowledge loss and compliance/data retention issues when content from deactivated users is hard to find or manage centrally.

      The requested enhancement is to:

      1. Allow admins to search, filter, and manage videos owned by deactivated users directly from Admin Tools → Manage → Videos.
      2. Provide clear indicators in the UI that the video owner is deactivated, and optionally add filters (e.g., “Owner status: Active / Deactivated / All”).
      3. Ensure that from this view, admins can perform standard actions on these videos (e.g., change owner, move to shared folders/spaces, adjust sharing/permissions, or archive).

This would align the videos management experience with how admins think about lifecycle management of users and their content, reduce manual workarounds, and help customers preserve and govern important Loom knowledge when employees leave the organization.
