Make Loom promotional/AI popups (e.g., Loom Personality) permanently dismissible so they don’t keep reappearing on login

XMLWordPrintable

Users are experiencing recurring in-product popups, such as the “Loom Personality” prompt, every time they log in. For users who are not interested in AI “insights” or certain promotional features, these repeated prompts feel distracting and frustrating.

The request is to update how these popups behave so they are less disruptive to the user experience. Specifically, users would like Loom to:

      • Either show certain prompts only once (or very infrequently), and/or
      • Provide a clear “don’t show this again” / permanent dismiss option so the popup does not reappear on subsequent logins.

This is particularly important for users who are not actively engaging with the related features and for whom these prompts are perceived as unnecessary “noise.” Improving dismiss behavior and frequency logic for these popups would reduce frustration, improve perceived product quality, and make the login experience feel more focused and respectful of users’ time.
