[JWMCLOUD-742] Ability to use Parent field in Customize Cards feature in JWM projects

34786ae8c791 I can see this was closed in July, but I still cannot see Epics/Parents in the options for Board View > Customise Cards in JWM. I have added Parents field to Task and Subtask in the issue configuration.  Is there any chance the bug has been reintroduced?  Or is there another workaround?

For those interested in color support a new ticket has been raised for adding this support.

But i can not see the field in the selection for the card details (screenshot)

Same as Saskia Hoppe, I appreciate what the work you did with the parent field but is there any way to get the colors back as well (previously the epic color field) 34786ae8c791? Right now everything is showing as grey for me and it sort of defeats the purpose of easily being able to see which tickets go with which epics.

34786ae8c791 Thank you for bringing this back! Suspect this will be a different request, but it looks like the parent field doesn't use the epic color which is super useful for quick visual grouping of child tickets. Or is there a config somewhere I'm overlooking? Thanks.

            Hey a105c41a3d07,

I've rolled out support for Parent field (the replacement field for Epic Link) as a viewable field on a card in a business projects board.

If you don't see this field in the customise cards list:
In project settings > issue types > task (or your projects equivalent). Ensure the parent field has been added to either "Description fields" or "Context fields".

After doing this the parent field should appear.

Let me know if you this fixes your issue and thanks for raising you're concerns.

I don't understand why the issue was closed with ‘fixed’. It still doesn't work for me. On the contrary, even fields that were previously selectable are now missing (Epic Link,.....)

This is an absolutely critical need, as the boards are almost unusable without being able to identify the Parent from which each Story/Task belongs.

Can you please share an ETA for this? it is very problematic to work without epic on the task

My organization also really relies on this functionality when managing the Board for a number of projects. Please get this working again as soon as you can 34786ae8c791 and Atlassian product development team!
