Issue Summary

The default Issue type feature is not working for Jira Work Management company-managed projects.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Go to the Issue type scheme.
2. Configure the Default issue type to 'Epic'.
3. Save this update.
4. Go to the JWM project, and then select to create an issue (in the list view page, or board or create button).

Expected Results

The expected results would be to display the configured default issue type 'Epic' when creating issues.

Actual Results

The actual result is that the 'Task' issue type always displays instead of the default issue type configured: 'Epic'.  

Even if the last issue creation was as 'Epic', if you reload the page, it will return to 'Task'.

Workaround

Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
