Description
Issue Summary
A user with a member role is allowed to modify the "Reporter" field in the JWM Team-Managed project list UI which fails with an error
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a JWM Team-Managed project
- Grant Member role to the user
- Create 2 issues
- Try to modify the "Reporter" in the JWM list view
Expected Results
The option should be greyed out as a user with a "Member" access role cannot modify the reporter field as per the design. Only the user with "Administrator" access role can modify reporters. Expected behaviour to provide a helpful message in the UI for non-admin users.
Actual Results
The Reporter field, which is a user picker, allows the user to click and select the users, but does not commit the change and presents the below message which is not easily understood by users:
Reporter is not associated to the task issue type
Workaround
There is no workaround to blocking users from adding the "Reporter" field to the JWM list view and performing the action of changing the field value.
However, if the user (non-admin) needs to modify the reporter, please create a custom access role and include the permission "Edit Reporters" along with the other necessary permissions.
