Configure the date format on date fields in the card layout

Issue Summary

On company-managed projects in Jira Software if you add a date field to the card layout it is displayed in the format dd/MMM/yy. However, in Jira Work Management projects this is instead displayed with a calendar icon which only displays the date and month. Can we change this so it displays the year as well?

Steps to Reproduce

1. Navigate to a Jira Work Management company-managed project
2. On the board, select the ( ... More ) button on the top right
3. Select customise cards and add the due date or another field
4. Create an issue that will be visible on the board and review how the date is displayed

Expected Results

The card is displayed and date fields are shown in dd/MMM/yy

Actual Results

The date is only displayed as dd / MMM 

Workaround

Currently, there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
